What's a brother gotta do to get Evgeni Malkin to the All-Star Game? He's only 21. Surely he could have been considered for the YoungStars game over fellow teammate Tyler Kennedy or even Milan Lucic or Brandon Dubinsky.

The Young Stars roster is for players in their first year of NHL eligibility. Malkin is in his second year, so he doesn't qualify.
then why was Ryan Whitney in the game last year when he played 68 games the season before? Not to mention Zach Parise too, who played 81 games in 2005-06
