One Year Ago Today...Hockey in Pittsburgh is Saved

It was a year and two days ago when the entire Penguins Nation went to sleep, not knowing if they'd have a hockey team for much longer.

Then, they woke up, went to work and came home to the news that a deal was done for a new arena in Pittsburgh. The Penguins were here to stay.

On March 13, 2007, before their game with the Buffalo Sabres, Mario Lemieux walked out on to the Mellon Arena ice to let the fans know that hockey in Pittsburgh was here to stay.

Ballhype: hype it up!
