During this afternoon's Pens-Flyers game, NBC Sports debuted their own iso-cam, similar to what Comcast did this week with the Ovech-Kam. Much like the special attention did for Alex Ovechkin, it also worked big time today for Evgeni Malkin.
On Wednesday night, Ovechkin scored twice on the power-play, including the game-winner with under two-minutes to play en route to a 3-2 win over Calgary.
Malkin, with his teammates help, went off on the Flyers with a 7-1 thrashing of their cross-state rivals. Geno tallied goals 41 and 42 of the season and added two assists to his season total of 97 points, inching him two points behind Ovechkin for the scoring title.
I guess there's something to these iso-cams and players wanting the audience to see their awesomeness in complete fashion. Unfortunately, for Toronto fans, there's no such thing as an iso-cam on an entire team (I kid, I kid!).
