Live Blog of the NHL Draft Lottery Tonight 8pm ET

If you're unable to catch tonight's NHL Draft Lottery which will be broadcast live on Versus, TSN, and the NHL Network, I will be live-blogging the festivities beginning at 8pm ET tonight.

If you're wondering what the chances are of each team's ping-pong ball being pulled, here they are:

Tampa Bay - 25.0%
Los Angeles - 18.8%
Atlanta - 14.2%
St. Louis - 10.7%
NY Islanders - 8.1%
Columbus - 6.2%
Toronto - 4.7%
Phoenix - 3.6%
Florida - 2.7%
Vancouver - 2.1%
Chicago - 1.5%
Edmonton - 1.1%
Buffalo - 0.8%
Carolina - 0.5%

Arguably the top prospect being sought after is Steven Stamkos, a 5'11, 176lbs center from the Sarnia Sting. Also being mentioned as top picks are two defensemen: Drew Doughty, a 6', 219lbs banger from the Guelph Storm and Alex Pietrangelo, a 6'3, 206lbs
kid from the Niagara Ice Dogs.

This year's NHL Draft will take place the weekend of June 20-21 at ScotiaBank Place in Ottawa.

Ballhype: hype it up!

1) Actually Tampa Bay has a 48.2% chance of picking first. Given that teams 6-14 can't displace them from the top slot.
2) Ironically the 2nd spot has NEVER won the lottery, so our money is on LA 'winning' it this year. While the 3rd place finisher has won it 3 times over the past 12 years.
