Beach has the attributes that liken him to almost a mix of Keith Tkachuk and Sean Avery. He’s someone who can hit, agitate, score, and set-up his teammates. Beach has been consistent in his first two full seasons in the WHL. Beach took home Top Rookie honors in the WHL for ’06-’07.

The Silvertips were hurting in scoring this season, but Beach stayed consistent with his stats from last season. Plus, with another year experience, Beach has become even more hated in the WHL—which draws the comparisons to Avery. Beach has known to constantly chirp-off at opposing players, but be able to back up his words with his actions; whether it is a game-breaking play or dropping the mitts.

The best thing about Beach is that he could step into the NHL right now and not have to worry about adjusting to the speed and size of the veterans he’s playing against. Many will question his character, but under the right guidance, he should be able to flourish as a quality player in the NHL.
