The song entitled, "Wake Me Up When Burke and Lowe Are Friends", was created by Alan Bass, a blogger over at The Bleacher Report. It's set to the music of Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" and is quite the creative piece of music which features the line, "Free agency has come and past / these huge ass contracts can never last".
Sit back and enjoy.
I'm hoping Alan decides to take hockey-related parody song writing into consideration as he enters college this fall. The world looks forward to songs about Todd Bertuzzi-Steve Moore, Darcy Tucker-Sean Avery, Cliff Fletcher-Mats Sundin, and Marian Hossa-Pittsburgh Penguins fans.
UPDATE: It seems as if my buddy Greg Wyshynski from Yahoo!'s Puck Daddy and Alanah from Canucks & Beyond aren't big fans of the song parody. I guess I'm just too big a fan of silly, stupid humor, probably why 30% of me liked The Love Guru.

If it was set to Wake Me Up Before You Go it would really punch it up.
