Fantasy Frenzy: Stay The Course

Before we get started I want everyone to take a deep breath and then tell yourself that the season has just begun. Most teams have only played a couple or maybe three games up to this point in the year. Having said that, stick with your roster for another week or two before you start tinkering with it. Teams like the Canucks will come back down to earth (while the Rangers may not), and those players you were counting on who have gotten off to slow starts will get their game on track.

I am not going to recommend anyone to add or drop this week because I am going to preach patience for now. Unless you have an injured player to deal with (someone like Bryan McCabe or Jack Johnson maybe) just leave your roster alone and give it a little time.

The exception to this rule is that this could be a great time to swindle a panicky owner with a trade. There is always that one guy in every league who freaks out after one bad week and wants to make a deal to shake up their team. Don't be afraid to send out some trade feelers to see if you can find someone who is already looking to make a move after less than a week. You could find some good value that way.

I couldn't agree more. I always feel like im the only person who is holding fast to the drafted team for the first few weeks, while it seems like everyone else is going insane. also note, i have never won a league. looks like i am going to go overhaul my roster.
