Pick-Up of the Week:
- Steve Mason (G - CLB) - Goaltending has been very volatile so far this season, and that has given a lot of young goalies a chance to show what they can do. So far Mason has impressed in Columbus and he is getting a chance to backstop this team for the time being. If your goaltending is letting you down right now you should take a long look at adding Mason. I already did in one league.
- Sidney Crosby - 5 goals in two games is a real good way to land on the top of this list. Captain Cros seems to have gotten into a goal scoring mood for the holidays and fantasy owners and Penguins fans everywhere are rejoicing. Adding 3 assists and a +8 is nice too.
- Mikko Koivu - 4 goals and 4 assists have the Wild captain back in the good graces of his fantasy owners after he had cooled off a bit. His 12 PIM are an added boost to go along with the scoring.
- Evgeni Malkin - The other Penguin to notch a hat trick last week, Geno is still leading the league in scoring and is still managing to outshine Crosby on some nights. 3 goals, 5 assists, and a +7 is about all you can ask for from a single player in a week.
